Chet Atkins plays “Summertime” on Fretless Guitar, with Jerry Reid


Yes, Chet Atkins had a Fretless Guitar, of course it was a Gibson “Chet Atkins” serial number 81628501 which dates the guitar to June 1988. Originally Gibson removed the frets and filled them with red lines, which Chet complained he could not see, so Gibson replaced them with white lines.
