In 2003 Paul and Lisa Allott moved from their bungalow in Conisbrough, South Yorkshire, after becoming fed up of living in Butt Hole Road.

The family said they had grown tired of groups of youths posing for photographs by a street sign near their front wall with their buttocks bared.

Taxis and delivery men often failed to turn up, as they did not believe the road existed, Mr Allott said.

Mr Bailey believes the name may have originated as a reference to a nearby water source.

Nah, that was near Yellow Spring.

Apparently there's a dictionary compiled of such names; in the linked article I noticed this thread-relevant gem:

Some people have the fortune to live in Chelsea or Knightsbridge - others face the more embarrassing prospect of claiming Brown Willy or Penistone as home.

When I first moved to London from Cornwall, nobody believed me that a place existed called Brown Willy

But I suppose one must sympathize a bit with the Allotts - though getting yer arse out it seems to be a great british past time...

Still, here in Norway there's a place called Minge, photo is on my fARSEbook page.....

Does this mean getting their minge out is a great Norwegian passtime? :vomit:

Actually, judging by the behaviour of a few girls I've encountered here - well yes, it could be described as such... :D

What's the unit count required to achieve the necessary beer goggles you'd have to have to mount that!!!

Well beyond the "wood" level I'd wager....

What's funny about London?

Apart from when you spell it Backwards. (about 4 minutes in)
